Shocking Report Reveals that There are Over 1000 LGBTQ Men in Nandi County
Unexpected research from Nandi County reveals that same-sex relationships and the number of LGBTQ people have both increased significantly in recent years.
Reports state that 1,000 men who identify as LGBTQ people have been jailed, and a comparable number of women are said to be gay.
The family social system in the county is seriously threatened by the tendency, according to Nandi County's deputy governor Dr. Yulita Cheruiyot Mitei.
She said that every month, 68 new cases of AIDS were reported in Nandi County, with a large number of these cases being reported in LBGTQ+ groups who follow alternative social norms.
Cheruiyot gave a speech at a public event for the "Stop the Three Threats" campaign, which aims to prevent new cases of AIDS, sexual assault, and teen pregnancy.
She urged parents to spend time with their kids and talk about same-sex partnerships, which he referred to as "un-African" and which should never be accepted in Nandi county.
"Let's end the silence and we should oppose it because it is not divine in all aspects because it goes against our creation and nature," the deputy governor said.
When LBGTQ+ individuals go to take medication, they are diagnosed with the majority of new infections.
She claimed that a number of kids had been persuaded to join these groups by being separated from their parents.
Some of these incidents, whether involving dads or stepparents, have not been reported to the authorities so that remedial action might be taken.
"We want to urge community health volunteers to start recording and reporting cases to the administration and the police for action," Cheruiyot added.
