Only Those Who Voted for Ruto & I Will be Given Priority, DP Gachagua Declares Leaving Kenyans Reacting

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has ignited a very serious debate online following his latest remarks. The second in command while speaking at a public function said that their government with William Ruto will not consider any person from the opposition.

The DP said that he will ensure that those who didn't vote for them in the August 2022 polls will be considered last by the Kenya Kwanza government. Gachagua went ahead to say that government jobs and tenders will be preserved for those who voted in the Kenya Kwanza government so that those in the Azimio camp can learn a lesson in the future.

Gachagua compared the government to an investment saying that those who invested is their time to reap.

“This government is a company that has shares. There are owners who have the majority of shares, and those with just a few, while others do not have any. You invested in this government and you must reap. You sowed, tilled, put manure and irrigated, and now it is time to reap,” DP Gachagua said.

Gachagua also warned those who are insulting their government on one hand and on the other hand they want to be served by the same government. He said that he will be pulling those who supported them while pushing back those who didn't vote for them.

“Elections have significance. You cannot make noise talking ill of Ruto and after he wins you get in line to get benefits before those who were with him." Added Gachagua.

His remarks has however ignited a series of remarks with Kenyans questioning if they will be taxing only those who voted for them so that they can have exclusive services and access to the government. Below are some reactions:
