I Regret Supporting Azimio & Not Running for Re-election- Ngilu Says& Reveals that they were Forced to Support a Losing Battle
Several top leaders had sacrificed their political ambitious to drum support for Raila Odinga hoping that he will winn the elections and award them positions in his government. Some of the notable names who shelved their political ambitious include Former Muranga women rep Sabina Chege whole has already joined Ruto's camp and former Kitui Governor Hon Charity Ngilu who had served only one term.
Following that humiliating defeat by William Ruto, some of these top politicians have since gone silent with the bold one joining Ruto's government. Despite that, Raila Odinga has maintained that he won the August polls and he has been staging protests across the country to voice his concern and push for Ruto to resign.
Nonetheless, several key members who were with Raila during the campaign trails have taken the back seat with a ni show in his rallies.
Today it has emerged that Hon Ngilu who was one of the top leaders in the Azimio camp is regretting her decided not running again for the county top seat and instead supporting Raila Odinga. In a viral leaked WhatsApp chat, Ngilu said that she was ill advised and after realizing that Azimio was going to lose to Ruto, they were just forced to continue supporting him.
She said that she realized too late that Azimio will not win the elections and they only pushed in with the campaigns for a lost project.
