Wife of the Man who Died in Dam Speaks Revealing the Following

Mr. Tirus Maina had told his wife that he was attending a business meeting and would leave for home once it was over when his automobile slammed into a dam in Juja, killing him.

The fact that Mr. Maina was present at the tragic incident and was with another unnamed woman who also perished adds credence to the heartbroken woman's version of the events leading up to her husband's horrific death.

But Ms. Sarah Kiiru, who lives in Makongeni, Thika, Kiambu County, told the reporters on Thursday that she thinks her husband was with a friend and not a lover.

According to Ms. Kiiru, her husband made a lot of acquaintances because of the type of work he did. Ms. Kiiru went on to say that on the morning of January 16, 2023, her husband left for work.

The same day, at 7 p.m., Mr. Maina called her and informed her that she was attending a business meeting in Juja Town and that he would be leaving once it was over.

“That was the last time I heard from him. I even remember asking him what he would like to take for dinner,” Ms Kiiru recounted.

Divers were able to remove the two victims' bodies from the dam. On January 18, 2023, the Nissan X-Trail with the license plate KCM 033C was also pulled from the dam and brought to Mugutha Police Station.

According to witnesses, the woman's body was the first to be pulled from the dam. The witnesses also claimed to have seen the vehicle parked close to the dam before it finally slid into the river.

Later, Mr. Maina's wife successfully identified the body. However, it has not yet been determined who the woman who died with Mr. Maina was.
