List of Top Churches & Building Builds by Freemasons in Kenya
There has been a debate surrounding the mystery of the world's oldest and most secretive society especially on most of the things they do behind those closed doors of their lodges and Temples. Yesterday, Kenyans had a glimpse of what happens behind those closed doors but there is still a lot that remains unknown to many.
The freemasonry are believed to be great architects and they are behind the world's famous buildings that have stood for centuries now. In the Kenya and Nairobi City to be specific, some of the iconic buildings are the works of the freemasons. For instance Temple Moore, a Freemason in Kenya and a British architect is believed to be the man who created the All Saints Cathedral along Kenyatta Avenue. The church was build in 1917 by the colonial government.
The other church believed to have been created by the freemasons is the Holy Family Basilica in the CBD among others. Masons also created a large number of structures that house public institutions and offices, such the Nairobi School, the Supreme Court building, the City Hall, Jamhuri School and many others.
City Hall was designed by Cobb & Archer, City Hall opened its doors to the public in the 1950s when it was, at the time, the tallest building in Nairobi with its clock tower standing at 165 feet high. It was expanded in 1981 when the 13-storey City Hall Annex was adjoined to the building. The building houses the offices of the Governor of Nairobi.
