It's So Sad, Ruto's Ally from Kisii County Protest Ex-Governors Lining up for CAS Positions

The list of those lining up to take the Chief Administrative Secretaries (CAS) Positions was finally released by the Public Service Commission (PSC) where they listed over 200 applicants for the positions. What is expected to happen is that the Ruto administration is likely to reward his supporters and allies who have been standing by his side all along.

What however shocked many Kenyans was to see former Governors also lining up for appointment even after some serving their two terms as county bosses. Some notable names of ex governors that were in the shortlist include former Nairobi County boss Evans Kidero, former Kisii County Governor James Ongwae, Former Governor Taita Taveta John Muruttu, former Narok governor Samuel Tunai, formed governor Tana River Hussain Dado, former Samburu county governor Moses Lenolkulal, and former Trans-Zoia boss Patrick Khahemba.

Following those shortlist Kenyans from across the political divide have reacted with some questioning why retired County bosses are lining up for the CAS Positions even after serving their terms at the helm of the counties. Leading in this, is MP Sylvanus Osoro who questioned what these retired folks will bring to the table what they were not able to do while in their counties.

"It’s sad to see ex-governors lining up for the CAS position, what are they looking for? What didn’t they offer in their position as county heads that they want to offer the country?" Majority Whip, Sylvanus Osoro.

Others who are likely to make a comeback to public service include poll losers like Millicent Omanga, Charles Kanyi alias Njagua, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, Cleophas Malala, Purity Ngirici, Cate Waruguru among others.

The list was released after the court ruled on the legality after a petition was filled by Law Society of Kenyan (LSK).
